Note from Campaign Manager Elaine Adkison:

The campaign is organized, energized and mobilized entering the final phase of the 2006 campaign season. We are excited to have been named by several Austin publications as one of the top 20 races to watch. With the focus shifting to GOTV, volunteers are block walking, phone banking, passing out fans at various events and putting out signs. Sharon continues speaking to organizations, participating in forums and making voter contact. This campaign will make every effort to reach as many voters of District 8 as possible. Anyone wishing to aid us in that endeavor should contact me for volunteer opportunities.
